This shrug pattern is called Curtsy. It reminds me of a dancer who dances and flows and then bows or curtsies for a finale! This shrug is knitted using Sugar Fluff yarn from Expression Fiber Arts. Sugar Fluff is not carried year around. To substitute another yarn, get a fuzzy sport weight yarn to use. There is also a collar on this shrug. The design is made with 3 different colors and they gradient to the next color. All 3 colors are held together for the collar. The shrug is a quick knit of stockinette stitch that makes a soft roll at the end of the sleeve. Bracelets are good with this design. I love a design when I can wear bracelets....oh well...I love bracelets!
Fun...fun....beginner knitting....enjoy!!

Say "hi" to Millefiori! This gradient sweater is the sister to Malvarosa. This sweater is beautiful with all the colors merging into each other and changing to another. I think this is so cute on Chandi at Expression Fiber Arts.
Dewy DK is the yarn recommended for this sweater but any DK would do. The pattern has some short row work to shape the shoulders. The sweater is knitted from the neck down to the waist. The bishop/puffed sleeves complete the look. I love this sweater! Make yourself one and enjoy wearing it!!! This is the pattern named Bleuet. I named this design with the French word for blueberries...Bleuet. I used a 2 different blues, a green, and a gray shade of yarn in this design. The reason I used this name was basically one morning I was adding blueberries to our cereal at breakfast. It dawned on me that the shades of blue on these blueberries was the same as the two colors of blue I was knitting with. Blueberries have a gray look to them...thus the gray yarn. Finally, all berries have green on the plants...the green shade. The yarn I used was Mirage Sport from Expression Fiber Arts. I held the yarn with 2 strands. These 2 strands allowed the colors to change and make 8 different stripes of color. I then added a picot edge and a ribbed collar. It can be worn as a shawl or close the opening and it becomes a poncho.
This design is fun to knit as you watch the colors change in the stripes. Enjoy! Here is my sweater design that I just love. It is one of 3 in a series to come. I embroidered this sweater but if you look at pattern, it is great plain without the flowers. However, I love the flowers. The name Malvarosa is an Italian flower meaning "many flowers". The name works well for this sweater. You could make this sweater in any color that you love. It is made out of DK yarn. It is a great weight and the yarn from Expression Fiber Arts is the best. This Dewy DK yarn is yummy and you will love working with it. I sure did! This design came out October 2022. Enjoy!!!
Another pattern where Expression Fiber Arts and I work on this design. I love the casual look and feel of this design. I know you will love knitting this. You hold a DK and Fingering yarn together throughout the whole design. That gives you lots of choices of color and looks. This pattern is unisex so anyone could wear this!!!! I hope you enjoy creating this!!!

Hope you love this sweater....I am very proud of this design. Expression Fiber Arts has this pattern to download. They also have the wonderful yarn I used to knit you one of these sweaters. You can also get the pattern from Ravelry.
I have always enjoyed knitting the Fair Isle or Stranded Colorworks projects. So, I decided to work on a design in this style. I learned alot about sizing and what needs to be done for a sweater pattern to fit various sizes. I have seen it knitted in various color groups. Have fun with finding the yarn that you love, finding the color you love, and creating this sweater. Ichor is defined as "the fluid that flows like blood in the veins of the gods.” I think of this definition and how it relates to knitting this sweater. Yarn flows. Knitting gets in your veins. The process of knitting stranded colorwork is the fluid in the process of making this sweater. When you put this all together the name Ichor for this sweater is perfect. I hope you enjoy the process of making this sweater, as well as the lovely garment you so skillfully will produce. My second pattern with Expressions Fiber Arts....this pattern has 3 sections with 3 different stitches. One is the woven stitch from an old knitting book of my mom's. It is a fun stitch and makes a nice knitted fabric. Another stitch is knitting each stitch in the back of the stitch instead of the front. It makes a great effect and another fun knitted fabric. I used fingering yarn from Expressions Fiber Arts and it was like liquid.....agave! Try this patten for an beginner knit learning new stitches. Here is the link...enjoy!
www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/agave.html This is the day that my first design with Expression Fiber Art was published and presented to the public. The name of the pattern is Mancrayca. As you can see from the picture, it is a wrap. Chandi from Expression Fiber Art is the model and owner of the yarn company. This was so fun and exciting to see your creation modeled and shared with the world!
You can download the pattern here at Expression Fiber Art. I hope you enjoy making and wearing it! As several of you know, I designed a new wrap for my sister for Christmas. I wrote the pattern and posted it on Ravelry. I think several of you might want to try this pattern. It is perfect for a beginner to making cables. It is also perfect for those who want a wrap that does not fall off the shoulders or for one who needs their hands free but also wear a wrap. This is my new wrap!!
